Speaking during an interview with News Central TV, Isah said that on July 14, 2026, he and other members of the community heard gunfire coming from the direction of the school. They immediately rushed to the scene, while soldiers also arrived shortly afterward. According to him, it was then discovered that the school principal, a NECO supervisor and two students had been taken away by the attackers.
Isah explained that community members later managed to establish contact with the kidnappers through a telephone call. He said the abductors confirmed that the four missing individuals were in their custody.
