Tella recounted that in 2016 she became suspicious after noticing that her husband frequently entered an unused room in their house at night and always locked it after coming out.
She further alleged that her husband later confessed that he and a friend had visited a herbalist in search of wealth through money rituals. According to her, he claimed the herbalist instructed them to complete a particular assignment within one week, warning that failure to do so would result in one of them dying while the other would lose his sanity.
Tella said that about a week after the alleged confession, her husband began displaying unusual behaviour that made her believe he was mentally unstable, prompting her to leave the house for her own safety and that of their child.
Recalling what her husband allegedly told her, Tella said: “He explained that he went to a herbalist with his friend at Ipetu for money ritual, I asked him what he meant by money ritual. He is a graduate of the Business Administration department. He said they went for money ritual and the man asked them to do something and they had to do it within a week else one of them would die and the other would run mad.”
