Lagos-based lawyer and activist, Dele Farotimi, has arrived at the premise of the Ado Ekiti Magistrate Court ahead of the hearing of a defamation charge filed against him by Aare Afe Babalola, SAN.
Naija News reported earlier that Farotimi, through his legal counsels, submitted a preliminary objection asking the court to strike out the suit.
The objection, dated December 9, 2024, was filed by Farotimi’s legal team led by Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN), Adeyinka Olumide-Fusika, along with 19 other lawyers.
The defence team includes three other Senior Advocates of Nigeria—Festus Emiri, Bamidele Ibironke, and Segun Ololade—supported by 16 additional legal practitioners.
However, prison officials brought Farotimi to court on Tuesday morning.
Notably, the embattled legal practitioner was not handcuffed like the previous time.
