According to a report by Daily Post on Friday, May 29, 2026, Solomon Dalung, a former minister of sports and youth development, has panned President Bola Tinubu’s administration, saying that throughout its three years in office, there were major problems with leadership and the implementation of policies.
He voiced grave worries about the efficacy of leadership and the overall trajectory of national affairs during the current administration, characterising their record as a catastrophic failure.
While speaking on Friday about current events and the political atmosphere around the administration, Dalung made these comments during an interview that aired on News Central Television.
Throughout the conversation, he pondered the current situation of government and voiced his discontent with the handling of national issues during that time.
In light of events planned by the APC to celebrate the third year in office of President Bola Tinubu, he made the remarks.
As he compared and contrasted the tone of the anniversary celebrations with his evaluation of the country’s conditions, he spoke against the backdrop of the ruling party’s celebration.
He said that people’s faith in government programs has been dwindling and economic suffering has been getting worse over the review period.
Many people have seen their living conditions deteriorate during the three years of this administration, he claims, and the situation has put a lot of strain on the people.
In addition, Dalung stressed that, according to him, this is one of the most trying periods in Nigeria’s recent history due to the current situation of the country.
He stated his conviction that the difficulties endured by the general public have been extensive and serious, impacting all facets of people’s lives and the stability of the country as a whole.

“In the history of this country, the citizens have never had it this terrible and I wish these three years would never exist on the calendar of our history as a nation,” Dalung said.
