Samaila Kaigama, who leads the Borno South Youth Alliance, has indicated that the initial video created by the Ngoshe bandits following the kidnapping of numerous women and children was dismissed because it fell short of the required standards.

He mentioned that the kidnappers were instructed to create a different video, which eventually became the one that the public was able to view later on.

In a discussion during an interview on Channels Television on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, Kaigama shared details about the mass kidnapping in Ngoshe, Borno State, where around 460 women and children were seized by bandits.
