The City Boy Movement has commended the N100 million donation by Kwara State APC governorship aspirant, Amb. Abdulfatai Yahaya Gambari (Yahaya Seriki), to the Eji-Dongari Community in Moro Local Government Area, describing it as a demonstration of commitment to grassroots development and community empowerment.
In a statement issued on Thursday by its North Central Zonal Coordinator, Policy, Strategy, ICT and Implementation, Engr. Sola Ajimati, the group congratulated the people of Eji-Dongari on the intervention, saying it would promote economic empowerment and sustainable development in the community.
Ajimati said the donation underscored Seriki’s commitment to improving the lives of ordinary citizens through people-centred initiatives.
He said, “This remarkable intervention once again demonstrates Amb. Yahaya Seriki’s unwavering commitment to improving the lives of ordinary citizens and accelerating grassroots development across Kwara State. His consistent investment in people-centred initiatives continues to inspire hope while reflecting the ideals of compassionate, visionary and responsible leadership.”
According to the statement, the General Manager of Kursi Investments Ltd., Yahya Abdullah Shina, explained that the donation was made in appreciation of the support, goodwill and cooperation the company has consistently received from its host community over the years.
The statement said the company considered the intervention a way of giving back to the people, strengthening community relations and promoting inclusive and sustainable development
It added that Seriki was represented at the presentation by his Chief of Staff, Hon. Kale Oloje, who led a delegation to formally present the donation to the community.
Ajimati stated that Oloje reaffirmed Seriki’s commitment to community development, social inclusion and the welfare of the people, describing the intervention as a reflection of his long-standing philosophy of service, generosity and creating opportunities that improve lives.
The City Boy Movement said the donation would strengthen community-driven development initiatives, improve livelihoods, create greater economic opportunities and promote peace, unity and social cohesion in the Eji-Dongari Community.
Ajimati urged political leaders, public office holders and corporate organisations to emulate Seriki’s example by investing in grassroots development, describing the donation as a model of responsible and impactful leadership.
