The 2nd leg matches of the UEFA Europa League tournament have been concluded in Europe and the Finalists are already known after a big show on Thursday
After their 2-1 win in the semi final first leg tie,, Braga failed to capitalize on their lead with Freiburg taking advantage of their shortcomings . Lukas Kubler opened scoring for Freiburg in the 19th minute after Braga’s Dorgeles was sent off earlier for a bad tackle on Jan-Niklas Beste just 6 minutes into the game. The deficit really affected the Portuguese side that Manzambi doubled Freiburg’s Lead just before halftime to make it 2-0 to the German side. Braga playing with 10 Man waa never getting well even when they created few chances. Lukas Kubler scored the 3rd goal for Freiburg in the 72nd minute to make it 3-0. However, Braga pulled a goal back in the 79th minute from Pau Victor’s strike to make it 3-1. Freiburg won 4-3 on aggregate . Freiburg sailed through to an European Final match for the first time in their History.
Aston Villa booked a place in the Final match of the Europa League after beating Nottingham Forest. Ollie Watkins’ 36th minute strike put Aston Villa in the lead at halftime. Buendia doubled their lead from the penalty spot 13 minutes into the second half to make it 2-0 while McGinn scored twice in the 77th and 80th minute to make it 4-0 for the Hosts. Aston Villa’s Coach Unai Emery is now on course for his 5th Europa League title after winning it 3 times in a row for Sevilla and 1 other for Villarreal.
The Final match is now set between Freiburg of Germany and Aston Villa of England .
