Oyo Abduction: “We’ll Bring Them Back Alive”, Makinde Promises Safe Return of Remaining Victims

According to Channels News on Monday, May 18, 2026, Governor Seyi Makinde has assured residents of Oyo State that his administration is intensifying efforts to secure the safe release of teachers and other residents abducted by gunmen in the Ahoro-Esinele and Yawota communities of Oke-Ogun axis of the state.

The governor gave the assurance shortly after a high-level security briefing and review meeting held in Ibadan amid growing public anxiety over the deteriorating security situation in parts of the state.
