BREAKING NEWS: While I Was In Detention, Many Believed Obi Abandoned Me But He Was Working Behind The Scenes- Crack

Justice Crack, a Nigerian activist recently granted bail by the court, has revealed the role he said former Anambra State governor and Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Gregory Obi, played during his detention.

The activist disclosed this in a post shared on his official X account on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, shortly after he secured a N5 million bail. His statement has since attracted reactions online, especially among supporters of the Labour Party and Peter Obi.

According to Justice Crack, several people believed that Peter Obi had ignored his situation because he was not publicly speaking about it. However, he insisted that the former governor never abandoned him at any point during his detention.

He explained that Obi was actively involved behind closed doors and was making efforts to ensure that he regained his freedom. Justice Crack further stated that the Labour Party chieftain also cared about the wellbeing of his family members while he was away.

The activist said many people were unaware of the private support he received because Obi chose to work quietly instead of making public appearances or statements about the matter.

In his message on X, Justice Crack noted that although many people thought Peter Obi had left him alone in detention, the former governor was “working tirelessly behind the scenes” to make sure he was released and that his wife and children remained safe and comfortable throughout the period.
