JUST IN: Tinubu’s Aide Reacts To Viral Photos Of Peter Obi Inspecting A Road With Potholes And Water

According to a post shared on his official X account on Monday, June 29, 2026, Dada Olusegun, Special Adviser to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu on Social Media, reacted to viral photographs of former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi inspecting a road riddled with potholes.

The exchange followed comments by Obi criticizing the condition of some roads across the country. In his remarks, the former Labour Party presidential candidate argued that the government should prioritize rehabilitating existing roads instead of embarking on new projects that deliver limited benefits.

Obi stated that repairing critical road infrastructure should take precedence over launching fresh ventures or dualization projects, stressing that maintaining existing roads would have a more immediate impact on the lives of Nigerians.

Responding to Obi’s comments, Dada Olusegun accused the former governor of deliberately misleading the public. He described Obi’s actions as mischievous, claiming that the road featured in the viral photographs was already undergoing reconstruction at the time the images were taken.

The presidential aide argued that Obi was fully aware of the ongoing work on the road but still chose to present it in a way that suggested the government had neglected the infrastructure. According to Olusegun, the post was intended to create a false impression and appeal to Obi’s supporters.

In his post on X, Olusegun wrote: “I don’t know what to call this if it’s not mischievousness. I am sure Mr. Obi knows that this same road is currently under reconstruction but his daily need to romance his gullible audience pushed him to this wall of deceit.”

The remarks have since generated reactions on social media, with supporters of both men debating the claims and counterclaims surrounding the condition of the road.
