Daily Post reported on Thursday, July 9, 2026, that Abubakar Usman, a suspected bandit leader arrested in Delta State, alleged that he and other members of his group were employed as cattle rearers by an Alhaji living in Abuja. He, however, said he was unaware of the man’s exact address.
Usman was arrested during a security operation led by the Delta State Police Command’s Anti-Kidnapping Squad in collaboration with the SafeCity Security Service. Acting on intelligence about suspected kidnappers operating within the Ogwashi-Uku/Adonta Forest, security personnel launched a raid on the hideout.
The operation reportedly resulted in a gun battle between the security operatives and the suspects before Usman was captured. Authorities said the arrest forms part of sustained efforts to curb kidnapping and other violent criminal activities across the state..Click to Continue/Video>>
