Don’t tell me this cannot happen, there will be water scarcity, govt should work on it — Ayodele

Spiritual leader and founder of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has sounded a strong warning about an impending water scarcity in Nigeria, urging the government to take immediate preventive action before it becomes a national crisis.

Delivering the prophetic message during a service, Ayodele cautioned the public not to underestimate the seriousness of what he described as a divine revelation. He emphasized that dismissing the warning could lead to severe consequences for the nation. “Then let me conclude with this,” he said firmly. “Don’t tell me that this cannot happen. Don’t tell me that no no no no. Don’t go and sit down. It’s not possible.”

The cleric went on to stress that the problem would be widespread if urgent attention was not given to water infrastructure and management in the country. According to him, water scarcity is one of the challenges Nigeria will soon face unless the authorities act swiftly. “Before I say this, there will be water scarcity,” he warned, repeating the word “water” several times for emphasis.

Ayodele stated that the revelation was not intended to create fear but to guide the government toward preventive action. He reiterated that prophecy is meant to correct and prepare, not to condemn. “The government should work on water,” he added, advising both federal and state administrations to pay closer attention to the distribution, purification, and accessibility of water across all regions.

His message, which highlighted the significance of water as a basic human necessity, comes at a time when several parts of the country already face irregular water supply and deteriorating infrastructure. The cleric urged authorities to ensure effective policies that would secure the availability of clean and affordable water for the people.
