Former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, hosted leaders of the Coalition for Democracy Movement at his residence in Abuja, in a meeting that has since generated reactions across political circles.
The post was shared by Atiku Abubakar on his official Instagram account, on Tuesday, 21st April, 2026, the delegation, led by Dr. Jibril Shehu Mustapha, presented the group’s nationwide structure and reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the push for credible elections in Nigeria, with a strong focus on protecting votes during the electoral process.
During the engagement, Atiku Abubakar expressed concern over rising cases of alleged election manipulation, particularly at collation centres. He stressed the urgent need for effective countermeasures to safeguard the integrity of the electoral process.
He also appreciated the coalition’s continued support and commended its consistency and dedication to democratic advocacy.
